Course Description

In CAE 500, the fifth and final course in the Certified Association Executives (CAE®) Program, students reflect on prior learning to identify their personal competency challenges and methods for improvement. Students delve deeper into personal development through a learning project designed to hone their skills while facilitating development and growth for their organization.

Learning Objectives

  • Students will develop an understanding of the importance of continuous learning for self and others
  • Students will conduct a self-assessment and identify areas for improvement based on the career management plan
  • Students will apply knowledge and skills from courses CAE 100, 200, 300 and 400 to a culminating project 

Duration & Delivery Method

CAE 500 is delivered fully online over a 12 week period. Weekly time commitment varies, but it is recommended students schedule between 10-15 hours for course work. 

Prerequisites

In order to enroll in CAE 500, students must complete CAE 100-400. Suggested experience includes: employment and volunteer positions in the non-profit sector and/or management experience in any field.
