Adam Aptowitzer LL.B. practices in the areas of charity and tax law. He is a member of both the bars of Alberta and Ontario and has been writing and speaking on the topic of charity law for several years. He is a regular contributor to several tax and charity publications including the Canadian Taxpayer and the Not-for-Profit News. He is frequently quoted as an expert and has given expert testimony on Parliament. His publications include several academic papers including two (and a third in process) with the C.D. Howe Institute and a book entitled Starting and Maintaining a Charity in Canada.

Adam is also a noted speaker and has presented to, amongst others, the C.D. Howe Institute, York University Continuing Legal Education Program. the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, and the Canadian Bar Association. He has also appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

In 2012, Adam was named the Heather McArthur Memorial Young Lawyer Award winner by the Ontario Bar Association recognizing his contributions to legal education and law reform. He was also named to the Top 40 Under 40 in Ottawa. Adam is a Lexpert rated lawyer and is an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association's Charity and Not-for-Profit Law section as well as the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners. Dana is currently the Executive Director for Orthotics Prosthetics Canada, an Association Management consultant and instructs the CAE 200 module of the CAE certification course. He has lived in Ottawa for the past five years with his wife Nadine and their three boys aged 19, 16, and 13.

Dana obtained his CAE in 2003 following an MBA degree at UBC and possesses over 25 years in the not-for-profit sector with a variety of organizations and mostly as Chief Staff Officer. As a consultant, Dana has undertaken projects such as strategic planning, communication audits, development of marketing plans and communication strategies, program assessments, benchmarking, program evaluation strategies, created and analysed surveys and much more.

He has a taught university courses in Leadership, Business Strategy, and Consumer Behavior. He has authored articles on membership service, networking and service delivery and presented at conferences across Canada on the member experience, service delivery, volunteer management, relations and retention, technology and amalgamation.

Jeff De Cagna FRSA FASAE is executive advisor for Foresight First LLC, located in Reston, Virginia and a respected contrarian thinker on the future of associating and associations.

Jeff is an author, speaker and advisor for associations and non-profit organizations across North America and around the world. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and a Fellow of ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. Jeff served on the ASAE Board of Directors from 2007-2010, serves as immediate past chair of ASAE's Key Consultants Committee and as a member of the ASAE 2020 Centennial Task Force. He also served on the RedRover Board of Directors from 2011-2013, including terms as both board chair and vice chair during that time. Anne is a Toronto based lawyer with extensive experience in copyright law. Anne has dedicated most of her career working for copyright collectives, most recently for Access Copyright. Access Copyright represents Canadian and foreign writers, visual artists and publishers; it operates on a not-for-profit basis. Access Copyright is part of a world-wide network of collective management organizations ensuring that the works of Canadian and foreign creators and publishers are protected within Canada and abroad.

Following her call to the bar of Ontario in 1996, Anne was in private practice where she focused exclusively on intellectual property litigation. In 1998, she joined Canada’s copyright collective for composers and publishers of music, SOCAN. Her practice initially centered on enforcing her client’s copyrights before the Federal Courts of Canada and various provincial courts throughout the country. Throughout her career at SOCAN, Anne was ultimately appointed as the Associate General Counsel and the Director of Legal Services. In these roles, Anne had extensive involvement in proceedings before the Copyright Board of Canada and on matters that were ultimately heard by the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. As Associate General Counsel, she oversaw all legal aspects of the organisation’s operations and provided advice to her clients on a broad range of strategic and legal issues including copyright, corporate-commercial, privacy, competition, contract and other laws. She has continued this practice at Access Copyright.

Anne has served on a number of industry committees, boards, and has been invited to speak at different venues including the Université de Montréal, Osgoode Hall Law School, various conferences and workshops.

She has appeared regularly in media and print publications. Pat won the 2012, 2013 and 2015 STEVIE Awards - Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Canada, the 2014 STEVIE Award for Women in Business - Female Executive of the Year in Canada. Pat has been named as one of the "Top 100 Women Entrepreneur Experts to follow on Twitter". She has also been nominated for Chatelaine magazine's "Woman of the Year".

Pat has had extensive experience working with associations as a committee member, Board member, national representative and consultant.

Having transformed her life at age 57 from trash bag to travel in a private plane around the world, as well as taking her business from zero to close to a million dollars in less than 6 years are a direct result of her expertise in the area of mindset, marketing and money.
